04/02/2002
Pre-order now and Amazon.co.uk will deliver on 3rd May

4 February 2002: The Game Wars are on! GameCube, which offers the lowest ever launch price for a next generation console, is available now through pre-order on leading online retailer Amazon.co.uk (www.amazon.co.uk/gamecube).

GameCube is a powerful new games console that rightly deserves its place among the next generation game systems. With a 485MHz CPU, 162MHz graphics processor and a 2.6 gigabyte-per-second system memory, GameCube doesn't try to play your CDs, run your movies, or read your email, but concentrates on core gaming. An impressive array of titles with bright, fast graphics and great sound will be available on launch day.

Amazon.co.uk is the place to pre-order GameCube. It's great value at just £149.99*, with launch titles from £39.99*. By pre-ordering GameCube, customers will receive the console through the post on the day of release--3rd May 2002.

GameCube will be available in purple and black. Launch titles include Luigi's Mansion, Star Wars: Rogue Leader - Rogue Squadron II, Super Monkey Ball, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Sonic Adventure 2, International Superstar Soccer 2, 2002 FIFA World Cup, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and Spider-Man.
