Paul Potts shoots to number one in Amazon.co.uk Album Chart

17/07/2007

July 17, 2007, London: Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts has proved that he’s got real star potential – by storming to the top of the Amazon.co.uk CD sales charts. The shy, retiring former Carphone Warehouse salesman, who hit the big time after winning the hit ITV1 reality TV show, has seen his new album One Chance soar to the top of the sales charts, ousting the previous number 1 album by the Traveling Wilburys.

“Paul’s captured the heart of the nation”, commented Rakhi Parekh, Head of Media at Amazon.co.uk, “His great voice and winning charm have proved that Brits love someone with real talent and a big heart; we look forward to watching his sales soar on Amazon.com as he breaks America.”
