Amazon.co.uk launches Grocery Store

New Grocery store offers free delivery on thousands of great value household, niche, ethnic and international products

Amazon.co.uk today launched its Grocery Store (www.amazon.co.uk/grocery) offering free delivery* on thousands of great value household, niche, ethnic and international products from big brands such as Kraft, Nestle, PepsiCo, Proctor & Gamble, and international brand suppliers Eurofoods, Tazaki, and Bespoke.

Amazon.co.uk’s range of over 22,000 top grocery lines includes everyday favourites Pampers, Ariel, Uncle Ben’s, Dolmio, Kraft, Schwartz, Kenco, Carte Noir, Walkers, and Oreo as well as leading pet food products Bakers and Purina One.

"Amazon.co.uk’s aim is to be the place where customers can find and discover any product they want to buy online, and with the introduction of this new store there are thousands of household, niche, ethnic and international grocery items, all available at the click of a button," said James Leeson, director of Grocery at Amazon.co.uk Ltd. A large selection of international, and specialist items from organic, kosher, gluten free, sugar free and vegan ranges is available. Brands offered include, Montana hot chocolate, Illy coffee, Clif Bar natural energy bars and Loacker chocolate and wafers.

As well as offering great value individual items, the Amazon.co.uk Grocery store allows customers to take advantage of the savings and convenience provided by bulk-buying items such as nappies, washing powders, pasta, rice, herbs, cooking oils and spices.

The store benefits from all of Amazon.co.uk’s delivery options including unlimited free One-Day Delivery for an annual membership fee of just £49 with Amazon Prime, and Free Super Saver Delivery where each and every product sold by Amazon.co.uk automatically qualifies for free delivery within the UK.

In addition, shopping via smart phone offers a fast and convenient way to buy groceries at any time, from anywhere. Just go to the web browser, type in Amazon.co.uk, and you will be presented with the Amazon.co.uk mobile site.
