Amazon.co.uk introduces 'Universal Wish List' - Add any item, from any website, to your Amazon Wish List

26/04/2010
With a click of a button, you can now keep track of all your wished-for items in one place

April 26, 2010:

Amazon.co.uk customers can now add any product, from any website, to their Amazon Wish Lists. The new Universal Wish List button allows shoppers to add items with a single click and share with friends and family their most wished-for items from across the web.

To add the Universal Wish List button to their browsers, customers can visit www.amazon.co.uk/wishlist/get-button. Once added, simply clicking the 'Add to Wish List' button whilst viewing an item on any website will include it on the individual’s Amazon Wish List.

"Since our goal is to offer customers everything that they would like to buy online, it was a natural progression to provide an option for customers to add anything they find online to their Amazon Wish List," said Brian McBride, managing director, Amazon.co.uk Ltd. "With the addition of the Universal Wish List button, customers have an easy solution for creating a Wish List that contains everything they want."

Over the past 10 years, Amazon customers around the world have created more than 75 million Amazon Wish Lists, using the feature to save products they are "wishing for" to a list that they can share with friends and family to help make shopping for gifts easier.

The Universal Wish List button was introduced at Amazon.com in July 2008 and is now also available for customers of Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, Amazon.ca and Amazon.co.jp.
